These terms apply when you use Inkwell. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Inkwell.

Your account

• You need to be at least 13 years old, or older if the law where you live requires it.
• Keep your sign-in details safe. You’re responsible for what happens under your account.
• Give accurate information, and don’t pretend to be someone else.

Your content

You own what you write. Stories, chapters, comments and other content you post stay yours. By posting, you give Inkwell a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display and share that content on the site, only so we can run the service. The license ends when you delete the content, apart from copies in routine backups for a short time.

You confirm that you have the right to post your content and that it follows our Content guidelines.

Acceptable use

• Don’t post content you don’t have the rights to, including plagiarized or reuploaded work.
• Don’t harass, threaten or abuse other people.
• Don’t spam, scrape the site at scale, or try to break or overload it.
• Don’t try to reach accounts or data that aren’t yours.

Removing content and accounts

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms or the law. You can delete your stories, chapters and comments at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account.

Copyright complaints

If you believe something on Inkwell infringes your copyright, contact us with a link to the content and proof that you own the work. We’ll review it and remove infringing content.

Disclaimer

Inkwell is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. Stories are written by independent authors, and their views are their own. To the extent the law allows, Inkwell isn’t liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site.

Changes

We may update these terms. When we make significant changes, we’ll update the date above. Using Inkwell after that means you accept them.
